Spring is in the Air!

Mia: "So...I'm gonna just get my "blendy" pen, and whip out a little bug drawing."

...this isn't what she said, but her thoughts had to be somewhere along those lines, because this seems to come so easy to her.

...but Mia is asleep, probably dreaming up more things to draw. I'll post the story when she can explain.

Our first masterpiece! Thanks to Mom & Neal, Lee & Niki, and Lola & Grandpa for all of our new paints and supplies! We painted this together...and Mia did quite a bit of this! It was a bunch of fun, and hopefully we'll have more for you to enjoy soon!

Seriously? We were impressed with the single mirror image, but when we saw that she had drawn a reflection within another reflection, we were floored. Not to mention the fact that she is taking on shadows too! We are so proud!

Mia's Perspective

Wow, I don't think I grasped perspective until I was in the fifth grade! She never ceases to amaze me! I like the boxing match...if you look closely, the girl is thinking of a bird, and the boy is thinking of a worm....I wonder who's going to win? I think Modest Mouse stated it best in their song 'Birds Vs Worms', "...you can see that birds and worms don't get along.", Mia just illustrated it!

The first two kind of go together I guess....Maureen's Mom and Maureen. The next is called Abuela. And the third...which I thought was a mermaid...turns out it's a Puppy Dog.

Mia the Artist....

Sorry, I know it's been a while....but here are some of her latest masterpieces! The first is The Volcano, the next one is called The Zoo, the third is The Ring Store (which has a story to it, but you'd have to let Mia tell you about it), and the last...my favorite...is The Beach. The other night Mia told us that she is an artist, and that she can draw anything that she thinks of! I'm so proud!!!
